The Chinese vocational higher learning institutions are Xianyang Vocational Technical College, Guangdong Finance & Trade Vocational College and Hunan Electrical College of Technology.

The MoU were signed during the visit of China Center for International People-to-People Exchange director general Yu Changue along with representatives of six Chinese institutions. In addition to the three institutions signing MoU with Borobudur University rector Bambang Bernanthos, there were also representatives from Guangzhou Vocational College of Technology & Business, Guangdong Engineering Polytechnic, Hunan Polytechnic of Water Resources and Electric Power and Sichuan Laima International Education Consulting.

“Our Transnational Education Partnership reflects our shared commitment to producing outstanding graduates, who not only possess strong academic competencies in their respective fields, but also demonstrate our global perspective in international work ethic and adequate foreign language proficiency,” Bambang told attendees in his welcoming speech.

He said that Borobudur University already has cooperation in applied education with Xin'an Vocational and Technical College and Zhejiang Industrial Polytechnic College.

“Twenty-seven students are enrolled in Xin'an Vocational and Technical College in the Computer and Application Technology program. Twenty-four students are enrolled in Zhejiang Industrial Polytechnic College in the Accounting and Management program,” he said.

“We provide the students enrolled in the program with weekly Mandarin language classes to prepare them for their academic studies in the China institution during the fifth or sixth semester in China.”
