he Board of Commissioners of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has extended Vikram Sinha’s tenure as president director and CEO for the next five years, which will be formalized at the company’s upcoming annual general meeting of shareholders.
Reflecting this sustained progress, the board also endorsed Indosat’s ambition to double earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), reaffirming its confidence in the company’s long-term strategic direction.
Nezar Patria, president commissioner of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, said Indosat had proven that a clear vision, disciplined execution and consistent leadership compounded over time.
“As the company enters its next chapter, scaling sovereign AI and pursuing our EBITDA ambition, the Board of Commissioners continues to express its confidence in Vikram Sinha’s leadership,” said Nezar.
“The board of commissioners’ approval to extend his tenure as president director and CEO for the next five years reflects our confidence in his leadership and the management team’s ability to continue creating long-term value for Indonesia.”
Under Sinha’s leadership, Indosat has embedded artificial intelligence across its core operations to improve network reliability, enhance productivity, optimize capital efficiency and deliver increasingly personalized customer experiences. Through AI-powered hyper-personalization, the company continues to strengthen customer engagement by making every interaction more relevant, intuitive and meaningful.
Beyond its core connectivity business, Indosat is expanding into an AI-native “techco” by building new growth engines across sovereign AI, cloud, cybersecurity and enterprise digitalization. Through Sahabat-AI, NeoCloud, GPU cloud services and strategic partnerships with global technology leaders such as Nvidia, the company is strengthening the digital infrastructure required to support Indonesia’s AI economy.
In addition, Indosat is developing a distributed AI grid by leveraging its nationwide network and data center footprint to bring AI computing capabilities closer to developers, enterprises, public institutions and communities across the country.
Through strategic partnerships across the public and private sectors, Indosat is also helping to expand access to AI capabilities, digital skills and entrepreneurship, supporting Indonesia’s future digital workforce.
