View all search resultsndonesia’s leading crepe company Dcrepes is celebrating its 30th anniversary, unveiling a new logo and highlighting six original menu items from 1996 to mark its third decade in the national food and beverage industry.
The redesigned logo features a new typeface, with a triangular shape in the letter D that signifies Dcrepes’ signature offerings.
Meanwhile, the featured flavors include Choco Cheese, Banana Choco Cheese, Choco Peanut, Chili Doc, Smoked Beef and Cheese, and the return of the Banana Split Ice Cream. The promo runs until Aug. 5, with a special price of Rp 30,000 for two crepes.
The ceremony took place at Dcrepes’ Plaza Senayan outlet on Monday, chosen for its significance as the first Dcrepes outlet opened in 1996. Since then, the company has expanded to approximately 185 locations throughout the country.
Doni Wanandi, cofounder, owner and CEO of Jaddi Foods Holdings, said the origins of Dcrepes started in 1996 when his brother Dani Wanandi returned from a trip to Japan, where he saw a similar concept of crepes as an affordable treat enjoyed by a wide range of customers.
Following the trip, the brothers worked to craft a formula that suited Indonesian palates, which resulted in the original offerings, as well as newer flavors that followed changing tastes and trends including matcha, Nutella and Ovomaltine.
“We didn’t really expect that a local brand such as ours would be able to last for 30 years in the business, with all of its ups and downs and challenges, especially in today’s F&B landscape with numerous novel concepts. But what’s most striking for me is that Dcrepes is accepted and enjoyed by people from all walks of life, from young children to adults alike,” he said.
